The Fool-Proof Formula for Your Best Meal Prep
In our first post of this series, we gave you a little tough love in regards to your diet boredom. We truly believe that diet boredom is BS, and that there are endless possibilities to a healthy, happy lifestyle. However we also know that most people do not hold the same knowledge about nutrition and healthy foods as we do, so options can seem limited at first.
This post is our number one used formula for creating a healthy meal. Why? Because we can almost always make it happen, regardless of the groceries we currently have stocked. To create this recipe, simply choose items from each category and combine to make an Everything in a Bowl meal that is healthy, satisfying, and full of flavor!

This isn’t an exhaustive list, but in general, to make a delicious bowl you want the following components: starch, veggies, protein, fat, and something fun to top it off.
Some of our favorite combos are:
Taco Bowls: Cauliflower rice, roasted bell peppers and tomatoes, ground beef, avocado, cilantro and ranch
Asian Bowls: White rice, sauteed broccoli slaw, carrots, shredded beef, peanut dressing, scallions, soy sauce, sesame seeds
Breakfast Bowls: Roasted potatoes, brussels sprouts, tomatoes, eggs, bacon, hot sauce and fresh cilantro
BBQ Chicken Bowls: Mixed greens, carrots, zucchini, shredded chicken, avocado, bbq sauce
Buffalo Chicken Bowls: Quinoa, roasted cauliflower/broccoli, celery, chicken, avocado, buffalo sauce
Mediterranean Bowls: Couscous, beets, tomatoes, chicken, hummus, tahini, parsley, lemon juice
Pasta Bowls: Veggie spirals, sauteed spinach, ground turkey, chopped bacon, pesto
Remember- you don’t have to have a theme or a name for your bowls. For the most part, any ingredient from any of the lists will go well together. You can easily prep several servings of a base, roasted or chopped fresh veggies, and a couple pounds of protein at the beginning of the week. Even keeping those three ingredients the same every day during the week, you can change up the toppings/sauces and have a different meal in front of you.
This method of meal prepping takes minimal effort, is cost effective, and has enough options that you should never get bored! Do you have a favorite ingredient that didn’t make the list? Let us know! If you found this helpful, please share this this blog post with others. Thanks!
